9th March –
2ndTues@2 Cinema Club* 2009 London-based
drama starring Dustin Hoffman and Emma Thompson
as losers in love experiencing late-flowering
passion, who decide to seize the day before
arthritis sets in.
27th March
– Rotary Club of Fleet Bridge
Drive and Tea at The United Reformed Church
Kings Road, Fleet 1.30 to 5 pm. Cost £30
per table. Tickets and further information

29th March
– Ritz-style tea at The Elvetham with
musical entertainment and a glass of bubbly
on arrival. 3 to 5 pm. Tickets £15

Also offering a chance to look round the
stunning formal gardens looking at their
springtime best.
13TH April
– 2ndTues@2 Cinema Club* Rescheduling
of postponed filmshow about a group of Yorkshire
WI ladies who strip off to produce a calendar
to raise money for Leukemia Research and
meet with success and frame beyond their
wildest dreams. The acclaimed cast includes
Dame Helen Mirren, Julie Walters, John Alderton,
Annette Crosbie, Philip Glenister, Celia
Imrie, Geraldine James and Penelope Wilton.
All Cinema Club films start at 2 pm at the
Fleet Methodist church, Reading Road South,
Fleet. No admission charge but donations
- preferably gift-aided - requested. Tea
and biscuits served. Transport can usually

9th May –
Spring Fantasia held in the Great Hall
of Farnham Castle at 4.30 for 5 pm with
the quintet - Quintessentially Wind (musicians
from the Basingstoke Symphony Orchestra),
and presenting the swing singer, Jack Foster.

22nd May
– Spring concert at St Nicholas School
with the Ladies Basingstoke Choir to be
held in the newly built Performing Arts
Centre near Redfields in Church Crookham
at 7.30 pm. Tickets will be on sale from
the Fleet Hospice Shop from mid-April (£12
including a glass of wine).
13th June
– Open Garden at The Elvetham nr Hartley
Wintney (under NGS scheme with share to
Phyllis Tuckwell Hospice) 11 – 5 pm
Admission £4.
27th June
– Open Garden at The Windmill House,
Hagley Road, Fleet with cream tea, musical
entertainment and a dance display. 2 30
to 5 pm. Don’t miss this chance to
visit some of the reception rooms of this
stunning Arts and Crafts house dating from
circa 1900. Garden admission £4. Tea
£2.50.
2nd and 3rd August
– Open Garden at The Elvetham, Nr
Hartley Wintney (NGS, share to Hospice)
11 to 5 pm Admission £4.
